Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson announces she is pregnant with second baby

Marnie Simpson has announced that she is preparing to become a mother for a second time

Marnie Simpson has shared the happy news that she is 13 weeks pregnant.

The reality TV personality – who is already mother to two-year-old son Rox – says she and partner Union J singer Casey Johnson are “thrilled” to be adding to their family but explained that the pregnancy news was a “shock.”

The 29-year-old told new! magazine: “We’re so excited and super happy. It was a bit of a shock but we’re just so thrilled!”

Casey added: “I’m really excited. Obviously you’re always going to be a little bit scared, too.”

Marnie shared that her pregnancy has not been too pleasant as she is struggling to eat and suffering from severe sickness – which she says is totally different to her first pregnancy.

“With Rox I felt so healthy and glowing and I was a ray of sunshine, but this time I genuinely feel like the walking dead.” the MTV star revealed.

The couple are not sure if they will find out the gender of the baby – with Marnie wanting a surprise but unsure if Casey “can wait.”
Marnie also shared with the glossy magazine that she does not think they will have any more kids after their new addition arrives. Newcastle native Marnie has not had an easy time after giving birth to Rox as her bladder weakened and she suffered from chronic pain.

Things got so bad that she contemplated getting her bladder removed because she couldn’t bear the pain any longer.

In an eye-opening interview with Mail Online, the Geordie lass admitted: “I was suffering from really bad anxiety because of it. It was so hard being a mum throughout it because some days I couldn’t even walk.

“It was depressing because I planned in my mind what I wanted the first year of Rox’s life to be like, I wanted to go places and do things, not only has there been corona but I was also bed-bound. It was horrible.”

She went on to describe just how bad the pain got.

“I felt like I had glass inside my bladder,” she explained.

“I couldn’t even move it was so bad. I had to be given sleep medication as I was up in the night weeing all the time.

“It lasted continuously for a good six months.”

Casey and Marnie met on MTV’s Single AF in 2017.

They went on to welcome son Rox in 2019 and Casey proposed to Marnie in 2020.

After the proposal, Marnie took to Instagram to share she was to become Mrs Johnson.

She shared a picture of herself and Casey while donning a diamond ring with the caption: “And just like that I’m now a fiancé and I’m marrying the man of my dreams, how did I get so lucky @caseycodyj.”

The couple had a brief split around Christmas 2020 after Marnie said she ‘pushed Casey away’ due to having depression but the pair reunited weeks later.
